    Innovation

    From the very beginning, we at Sismo decided to commit our time and resources to focusing on research and innovation in design, since its overarching themes spring from questioning technology, materials, modern practices, etc. It started purely as our own initiative but, little by little, our clients became intrigued by our research, seeing that it taught us how to become experts in those innovative projects where design remains at the core of the venture.

    This practice plays an important role for many of our clients today, since we continually work together during a project. Using our methodologies, the complexities of the innovative design process can be easily and effectively articulated. The first industrial group to encourage us to formalize this approach to innovation was Legrand. Since then we have implemented it in collaboration with La Poste (designing their new mailboxes) the Mousquetaire Group (the Innovation Forum), MacDonald’s and Michelin (within the framework of our partnership with Carré Noir) and Saint Gobain (Domolab). What do all these projects have in common? They are complex, and design is the best and most tangible way to link them all together.
